Karoorus
Karoorus is a charming 3-bedroom farmhouse nestled on a remote Karoo plateau, approximately 6 km from the main entrance via scenic hills. The final section of the road requires a bakkie or high-clearance vehicle, ensuring complete seclusion and tranquility. The farmhouse comprises 3 bedrooms with comfortable bedding arrangements suitable for families or groups. The first 2 bedrooms are furnished with a king-size bed each, and the third bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds. The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. The living area provides seating and board games for entertainment. Guests can enjoy a traditional experience with hot water heated via a wood-fired donkey boiler, which guests operate themselves. The house runs solely on solar power, enhancing its eco-friendly and off-grid appeal. Guests can relax while soaking in the natural surroundings and star-filled skies. Nearby, guests can explore hiking trails, visit a waterfall, or take a 4x4 trail if travelling with an off-road vehicle. Karoorus offers a unique blend of simplicity and character, making it an ideal retreat for those seeking peace, quiet and a chance to reconnect with nature.
